CHORLEY'S Olympic cycling hero Jason Queally is to lend his support to a campaign to get youngsters to wear bike helmets.
Jason, who won gold and silver cycling medals at the Sydney Olympics, is supporting Brain Injury Week which begins on March 11.
Jason said: "I want as many people as possible to enjoy cycling, but that means being safe as well by wearing a helmet."
The week has been organised by the Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust. The charity's chief executive , Angela Lee, said: "Helmets save lives. People wouldn't drive without wearing a seatbelt. Don't cycle without wearing a helmet."
