A WIDOW fears her late husband's beloved pet could have been "dognapped" for breeding.
Distraught Connie Harris is now appealing for information on the white English Bull Terrier, Sadie, in the hope she can be safely returned.
Connie, of Alexandra Place, Great Harwood, was walking Sadie through Accrington on Friday when she went missing.
Connie said: "I always take her for a little stroll on Fridays and Sadie walks behind me. She was off the lead and when I looked round she had gone."
Connie thinks the 10-year-old dog my have wandered off but later picked up by someone who wants to use her for breeding. But the pedigree dog has been spayed.
Connie said she was distraught about the disappearance and spent a frantic weekend searching all over Accrington.
She said: "Sadie was my husband Bill's dog until he died three years ago and since then she has been my companion. I am absolutely devastated and want her back."
