BURY have snapped up wonder kid Chris Armstrong on a three-year contract.
The youngster finally put pen to paper on a new deal yesterday after weeks of negotiations.
Shakers fans will be delighted because the 18-year-old left-back has made a phenomenal impact since his first team league debut against Northampton in January. He is already being watched by clubs throughout the country with Preston and Burnley in particular keeping close tabs on him.
Further good news is another youngster Nicky Hill, a classy defender on the fringe of the first team, has signed an extension to his contract.
Midfielder Jason Jarrett is also expected to sign a deal offered to him today.
Meanwhile Bury's reserve team were beaten 4-1 by Manchester City in the Manchester Senior Cup last night, Adrian Littlejohn bagging the goal.
