ASPIRING actors and potential popstars will have the chance to train in music, dance and drama with a workshop courtesy of three local teachers.
Vocalist Helen Ridehalgh, dancer Lisa Haylett and actress Elaine Bennet are running Stage 2001 in Staining during the Easter and summer holidays for children aged between five and 14 who want the chance to see their name in lights.
Lytham-born Helen graduated from the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music in 1995, where she studied singing and now has a hectic schedule teaching throughout Lancashire.
Dance school owner and choreographer Lisa trained at the Hammond School, Chester, and the Arts Education School in London and has been teaching for 15 years.
Elaine, who currently teaches in local schools, started out as a professional singer and actress appearing in such hit TV shows as All Creatures Great and Small, Brookside and Only Fools and Horses.
Stage 2001 promises to be a great chance for star-struck kids and the action-packed programme is sure to keep them entertained during the holidays. Courses will run from April 9-12 and August 20-25. For more information call Stage 2001 on (07968) 022857.
