FIRST Aid is not the only thing studied by Radcliffe's St John Ambulance Cadets.
The youngsters looked at the subject of homelessness as part of their Grand Prior Scheme project.
They were visited by Peter and Sue Bryant of Bury Homeless Unit who explained the sort of day-to-day hardships and health problems faced by those who have nowhere to live.
It is an example of how the St John Ambulance has moved with the times and incorporated contemporary issues into its training.
New cadets are always welcome and if you are aged between 10 and 16 and are interested in joining then call Tony Blomley on 724 6781 for details.
