warns

best is yet

to come MICHAEL Appleton today warned Rovers supporters his best is yet to come as he prepares to visit Ewood for the second time in two months tomorrow.

The former Preston midfielder was part of the North End team which was blown away by a first-half goal blitz at Blackburn back in January.

Tomorrow, however, the ex-Manchester United starlet returns with his new club West Brom.

And the 25-year-old is out to prove to both sets of fans that he's not an overrated flop.

"Since I arrived at Albion six weeks ago my life has been a bit chaotic," said Appleton.

"I've spent a lot of time looking at houses but I'm still staying in a hotel at the minute.

"In addition, I'm travelling up and down the M6 to sort out things back in Lancashire.

"So it's not ideal and I could do without it.

"But I think the manager and the coaches are reasonably pleased with what I've done so far.

"I feel like I'm doing okay and I try to give it 100 per cent every time I go out onto the pitch.

"But there's more to come from me and, as soon as I've settled down, the fans will see me at my best.

"The same thing happened when I moved from Manchester United to Preston -- it took me time to settle in at Deepdale.

"But having said that, I realise I haven't got time on my side because we've only got 12 league games left."
