ROVERS today announced ticket details for their forthcoming April Fool's Day derby clash with Burnley at Ewood.
The two clubs have held a series of meetings in conjunction with local police ahead of the all-ticket match on Sunday April 1st (kick-off 12 noon).
And as a result, tickets will go on restricted sale from Monday March 5 to Rovers supporters who must apply in writing with proof of having attended THREE home League matches this season.
The sales policy will be maintained throughout the sale period and the number of stubs required will not be reduced.
Burnley have been given 5,600 tickets for the match and they will be seated predominantly in the upper tier of the Darwen End.
Rovers secretary Tom Finn said: "As was the case prior to our visit to Turf Moor back in December, we have worked in close liaison with officials from Burnley and the Lancashire Constabulary.
"There has been excellent co-operation between all parties and our collective goal is to assure everyone that the safety of spectators is of paramount importance.
"Over the last couple of seasons we have also reviewed some of our procedures and a new measure for the Burnley game will be a ticket check outside the stadium on the day.
"This is designed to avoid congestion by keeping anyone who turns up without a ticket away from the turnstiles although we do, of course, urge people without tickets to stay away.
"Visiting supporters have been allocated 5,600 tickets for the Darwen End and Burnley have agreed to provide coach travel.
"We did likewise in December and the facility was both well used and successful.
"It will involve us in re-siting our Darwen End car park season ticket patrons with whom we will be communicating directly over the next few days."
