POLICE are keen to catch a woman operating in the area who attempts to buy goods with stolen credit cards.
The latest incident came when the woman, in her mid 20s, entered the Kwik Save in Pendle Road, Leyland, where she attempted to use different cards to obtain goods.
The woman is described as 5'6", of slim build with long blonde hair and sometimes wears a black three quarter length coat.
Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for a gang of vandals who recently threw concrete through the window of a Preston house.
The trio, one female and two males, arrived at the house in Harewood Road at 6.30pm on Sunday, February 25. They then threw concrete through the window and ran off along the pathway at the rear.
The female is described as white with long blonde hair wearing a light coloured tracksuit top and trousers.
The men are described as both being white, one riding a bike, while the other wore dark clothing and a dark coloured baseball cap with a white stripe. On February 22 or 23 three thieves broke into the garage of a house on West Cliff, Preston, and stole a red and silver M&L Barracuda Shadow mountain bike valued at £360.
The three are all described as white, approximately 15 years old and wearing dark clothing. One had dark hair.
At 7.20pm on February 23 a man drove a silver Ford Escort (part registration N569) onto the forecourt of the Clayton Brook service station, Preston Road, obtained £37 worth of petrol, got back into the car and scarpered towards Preston without paying.
At 1.20pm on February 23, two thieves on bicycles smashed the window of a Suzuki Swift parked on Fletcher Road in Preston.
They then reached in, stole the radio cassette player, and rode off.
The pair are both described as white males, aged 18-19.
One was wearing a dark blue baseball cap and beige trousers.
