SUCCESS is all wrapped-up for packaging manufacturers Printpack, which has won the coveted Investors in People (IIP) award.
The Bury-based company is one the leading suppliers of flexible packaging and film labels to "blue chip" clients in the food and drink business.
Printpack, located in Bridge Hall Lane, has already seen the benefits of its commitment to the national standard at its European headquarters where it employs 242 people.
Training is high on the agenda at the company and, through IIP-linked business planning, Printpack is geared towards clearly defined business objectives.
The development needs of all members of staff are reviewed on a regular basis, supported by managers and supervisors. Managing director David Read, originally from Printpack's American operation, says: "I was not familiar with Investors in People before I moved to the UK.
"But I think this is an excellent programme and is very consistent with Printpack's long-standing commitment to communicating with, and developing, its associates."
He added: "Attainment of the Investors in People standard will give customers confidence in our ability to meet their needs."
The company is now working towards achieving IIP recognition at its site in Saffron Walden, Essex.
Printpack was assisted throughout the Investors process by Bolton and Bury Chamber's workforce development team.
Hazel Hampson of the Chamber said: "By developing a skilled and well-trained workforce, Printpack has embraced the philosophy of Investors in People and the company's commitment is paying dividends."
