ARTIST Anita Burrows is making her mark on the Irwell Valley Sculpture Trail and involving the children of Summerseat.
Youngsters have been given cameras to capture images of "what it's like to be a young person in Summerseat."
Anita, of Chatham Street, Colne, has used pictures taken by eight five and six-year-olds along with recordings of the children chatting to her to make a piece of temporary artwork for display in the Summerseat Methodist School.
The school doubles as a church and is also used by a youth group . Anita said: "I am going to make a structure about 8ft long resembling a cloakroom with hooks and headphones and the pump bags will contain radio cassettes of children chatting.
"There will be a book of photographs which the children have taken and people can listen to the children talking about their life and also see the pictures."
Anita got a bursary to create one of five temporary art works as part of the sculpture trail after completing her fine arts degree at the University of Central Lancashire this year.
The artwork will be in place from April 6 to September.
