MORE than 200 Guides from across East Lancashire are set to get together this weekend for a Go For It Day.
The special day, to be held at Pleckgate School, on Sunday is to allow Guides to experience different activities which they can take back to their home patrols and pass on the skills to their fellow Guides.
Activities include the making of non-alcoholic cocktails, manufacturing "sensational slime" and running a Casualty simulation.
Guides will also take the "Chocolate Challenge" in which they will be asked to identify different brands of chocolate.
They will be introduced to the art of candle making and will doing their bit for the environment by developing their artistic skills using old CDs to create decorative and useful objects.
Barbara Bryan, Guides assistant outdoors activities co-ordinator for East Lancashire, said she was delighted by the response.
She said: "The more we can challenge the energies of young people into constructive and enjoyable activities the better it will be for communities across East Lancashire."
