Don't score! CRAIG Hignett's stunning free kick in the dying seconds of last week's 4-1 demolition of Bolton at the Reebok seemed like the perfect end to a perfect night.
But not all Rovers fans were of a similar opinion!
One supporter had placed a £5 bet on Marcus Bent to score first and Rovers to win 3-1at odds of 125-1.
So when Matt Jansen burst clear to put Rovers 3-1 ahead with just nine minutes left he was feasting his eyes on a bumper pay out of £625.
However, that joy quickly turned to despair with just seconds remaining when Hignett stepped up to curl home his wonder goal.
So it just goes to show, you really can't win 'em all. Feed the bear DAVID Dunn today blew the lid on the latest goal celebration to emanate from Ewood.
Matt Jansen's goal against Bolton last week was greeted by another extravagant routine painstakingly choreographed on Rovers' Brockhall training ground.
And once again, cheeky Irishman Alan Mahon was the inspiration behind the idea.
After Dunn and Jansen acting out a scene from the Hollywood blockbuster 'Any Given Sunday' earlier in the season, Rovers then followed that up with their version of the Irish jig for the 5-2 cup win at Derby.
Now, their latest offering is called 'Feed the bear' -- coined from a phrase Mahon tends to use in training.
The routine featured Dunn and Co attempting to feed the England Under 21 striker.
But watch carefully at Ewood today. If Rovers score against West Brom then another routine has already been planned. Foot-in-mouth
THANKFULLY, Rovers' Brockhall training ground has so far escaped being shut down by the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease.
But a severe dose of foot-in-mouth hit their Ribble Valley base at yesterday's Press Conference.
One reporter unwittingly asked Rovers boss Graeme Souness if 'all the sheep had returned back to the fold unharmed' after the international matches in midweek.
"I don't think you should be using that phrase," replied Souness.
However, on a serious note, Souness confirmed the club have not yet been asked to close down their training base as a precaution.
"That's never been brought up but we're, obviously, like everyone else in the country where these tragedies have been happening.
"We're on farm land and we'll comply with whatever rules or regulations need to be imposed."
Baggies poser THE answer to last week's teaser 'which current Rovers player was born in South Africa' is Burton O'Brien.
This week's question is: Which current Rovers star has spent a spell on loan with today's opponents West Brom?
