LOWERHOUSE residents linked with local anglers to clean up Lowerhouse Lodges Nature Reserve in Burnley and build bridges for better access.
The second annual clean-up saw bikes, metal frames and all kinds of accumulated rubbish being fished out of the nearby river and the 114-strong team of workers are hoping to carry out another clean-up next month.
The day also saw the Burnley and District Anglers culvert the lodges outflow channel which had barred disabled and elderly visitors from a through route around the lodges.
