A THEATRE company is to visit schools in East Lancashire, hoping to drive home the road safety message.
Alginon Loose-Chippings, Big Lorry and Professor Hertz Van Rental are just a few of the zany characters the Walking Forward Theatre Company aim to introduce to youngsters and it is these, along with music and high adventure, that will get the message across.
Seventeen schools throughout Nelson, Brierfield, Burnley and Oswaldtwistle will see the performance entitled Cat Ninelives in Deepest Trubble' throughout this month.
Lancashire County Council's Road Safety Group has arranged the tour as one of its many initiatives under the safety strategy 'Together We Can Make the Difference', which aims to reduce road casualties and raise awareness of road safety issues across the whole of the county.
