POLL taxpayers in Blackburn and Hyndburn were told they may have to pay large increases on their bill to cover for those who had not paid.
Residents in Blackburn and Darwen were facing an increase of £62 and payers in Hyndburn faced a £96 rise, around £20 to £30 of which was to cover poll tax debts.
