WEIRD and wonderful musical 'Little Shop of Horrors' opens at the renovated Royal Court Theatre, Bacup, tonight.
The off-beat show stars an animated nine-foot high plant -- with a voice provided by award-winning actor Simon Westwell -- who has newly arrived from outer space with a plan to take over the world and a taste for human blood.
Mark Robinson is Seymour, the unsuspecting shop owner harbouring the man-eating plant, while Sue Avanson is the woman he loves in vain, Audrey.
The show has been produced by acclaimed local director Anthony Williams. Tickets are £7 or £6 and available by calling 01706 874080. It starts at 7.30pm each night until Saturday.
