ONE ward at Leigh Infirmary is still closed to new admissions following an outbreak of a stomach bug.

A spokeswoman said: "We are currently experiencing only the normal level of pressures associated with this time of year. Staff have coped extremely well over the weekend and we are not experiencing any long delays in accident and emergency."
