YOUNG Raechel Beardwood will see her idea become a reality to benefit generations to come after winning a contest to create a community garden.
Raechel, 11, a pupil at St Christopher's High School, Accrington, dreamt up a circular area with three paths leading to a central area with benches that will house a time capsule.
The capsule, at Churchfield House, Great Harwood, will hold information from various strands of life in the town for people to discover in 100 years' time.
The contest was organised by the town's civic society and Rotary Club and run among local primary school children last year as part of the Great Harwood in Bloom festival. Raechel entered before moving up to high school.
The capsule is on view at the Our Lady and St Hubert's charity shop, Queen Street.
