DRINKERS can now enjoy the latest night spot and eaterie which has just opened.
The Lounge cafe, in Duke Street, has officially opened after three months of building works to transform it from a former office property.
The cafe-style bar can seat up to 65 people and features some of the most modern sofas and furniture.
It was designed with one thing in mind -- food -- and customers can even treat themselves to breakfast on the way to work, with opening hours during the week between 8am -3pm.
On Friday and Saturday nights the venue re-opens between 7pm-midnight and on Saturday nights there is a members' club exclusively to customers of Cubes -- the town centre night club, also in Duke Street.
Owner of the Lounge and Cubes, Scott Moon, said: "It's Blackburn's latest eaterie and it's very modern. People will have to come in to appreciate how modern and well decorated it is.
"There are loads of comfy sofas and we are offering an extensive menu with something on it for everyone.
"We've had a few friends in already before the opening to test the place out and everybody was very impressed with it."
