THE fine weather brought out the winter bowlers at Pennington on Sunday.
A field of 28, the season's best, enjoyed the sunshine, but none more than organisor Colin Grimshaw who picked up the spoils with a 21-16 final win over Tamar's Neil Crooke.
Results: Main - semi - Colin Grimshaw (Leigh B.C.) 21-16 Cliff Berry (Leigh B.C.) and Neil Crooke (Tamar) 21-20 Sheila Speed (Garswood Hall). Final - Grimshaw -21-16 Crooke.
Consolation - semi - Peter Barton (Leigh Miners) 21-18 Fred Baxendale (Westhoughton) and John Platt (Rugby Union) 21-18 Bill Griffiths (Wigan). Final - Barton 21-14 Platt.
