VOLUNTEERS are being urged to become helpers for those who sometimes struggle with the difficulties of modern life.
Leigh-based charity Add A Voice is desperately looking for new volunteers to train as advocates due to a boom in demand for their services.
The volunteers give support to help people deal with a number of issues such as enabling a person to move out of supported accommodation into their own home or helping someone to write official letters or fill in forms.
A comprehensive training programme is offered to volunteers.
Advocacy services co-ordinator Lucy Whiting said: "Increasing the number of volunteers at Add A Voice will enable us to expand and develop the service where it is most needed."
