GAY men, lesbians and bisexuals can now access information and help about health services via the Internet.
A new website has been set up bringing wider access to a range of facilities within the Leigh area.
Paul Richards, senior health promotion officer with Wigan and Leigh Health Services Trust, said: "The web site is crucial as an information service and exists to provide a much needed link into services for gay men, lesbians and bisexual men and women who have sex with men in the Wigan area."
The site offers information about groups such as the Unity Group, The B. You Project, WOW (Women out in Wigan) and The Monday Night Group.
Sheena Cumiskey, chief executive of Wigan and Leigh Health Services NHS Trust, says: "The Trust is pleased to see this key website has been constructed.
"It is important the gay community of Wigan and Leigh has access to information and advice about sexual health issues."
The website is www.gaywigan.org
