OLD pub photographs are needed to boost the high-tech website of a new look local.
The completely revamped Spinners Arms in the heart of Hindley Green has undergone a transformation at the hands of Richard and Wendy Tomlinson.
Now the Tomlinsons would dearly like to see any photographs of the Spinners from years gone by.
Richard and Wendy took over the pub in 1999, after living in Spain for five years and since then they have made big changes to the once run-down pub.
The only original feature left inside the Spinners is the old fireplace, which has been totally refurbished.
Wendy said: "We thought it only right to keep the fireplace. It has been here as long as the pub has. The fireplace is now the main feature in the dining area and it looks wonderful.
"We would love to hear from anyone who has any history of the pub. We do know that part of it was originally terraced houses but we would love to know more of its background.
"We are looking for old photographs of the pub, the older the better, to put on our website (www.thespinners.co.uk) and to also transpose onto beer mats and place mats for the restaurant.
"If any Journal readers could help us out we would be extremely grateful."
The Tomlinsons are active members of the Pub Watch scheme and last year raised £2500 for cancer.
