TALKING TACTICS:
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce opted for a rigid 4-4-2 formation but Wanderers simply couldn't cope with Eyal Berkovic in the hole behind Rovers' front two. The little Israeli enjoyed the freedom of Ewood at times with no-one specifically assigned to pick him up and you can't afford to give a player of his class that kind of space
TURNING POINT:
Garry Flitcroft's opener. Once Rovers broke the deadlock there was only going to be one winner
SET PIECE WATCH:
Craig Hignett's starting to look deadly from free kicks around the box. Only a top save from Steve Banks denied him in the first half and another effort in the last eight minutes flashed inches wide
