ALLAN Greenwood, one time organiser of the South Pennine Grand Prix, has recommended a hilly road race to frustrated fell runners.
The Tina Horn Memorial 10K includes 1,000ft of climb.
It is on Sunday at 11am from Holy Trinity, Holdsworth Road, Holmfield, Halifax.
Allan say it is signposted from his Ogen Water venue which is on the race route.
The Pam Haworth Multi-Terrain 4.3M at Rochdale has been rerouted because of the foot and mouth outbreak.
Still on Sunday, it becomes a 5K road race from the Falcon Inn, Littleborough.
New start time is 11.30am.
A course record of under 14.20 earns a £100 bonus.
Organiser Andy O'Sullivan starts his summer season eccentrically early with the Peter Purdy Memorial One Mile on Wednesday.
Start is 6.30pm from the Waterside Inn, Hollingsworth Road, Littleborough.
For the diary, Mark Brown's Burnley 10K on Sunday March 18 is still on.
It was a trail race but it is now being re-measured as a road race.
The prizes include a mountain bike.
