LEIGH Centurions' reserve stand-off Radney Bowker has joined his old boss Ian Millward at St Helens.

Bowker, 21, has only made one substitute appearance for Leigh's senior side this season after being a regular for the previous two years.

Now he has again teamed up with Millward at Knowsley Road on a month's loan.

Explained Leigh team boss Paul Terzis: "The change of environment will do Radney the world of good. He's not been able to find his form of last season and his confidence is a bit down. A new challenge might just do the trick for him."

Also joining Bowker with the Super League and World Club champions is ex-Leigh second rower Heath Cruckshank.

Aussie Cruckshank was Millward's first overseas recruit when he took over at Leigh and he joins the Saints from Sheffield Eagles. Cruckshank was forced out at Hilton Park when the NFP overseas quota was reduced from two to one at the start of the season.

Neither is eligible for Friday's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Huddersfield.

Leigh's Alliance side hope to make it four wins in a row when they take on Batley Bulldogs at Hilton Park tonight, kick off 7.30pm.
