THE Samaritans exist to provide emotional support for local people who are passing through a crisis, may feel suicidal and feel that they have no one else to turn to who can help them.
We have a constant need for new volunteers to replace those who leave over the years and on Sunday, at 10.30am, we are holding an information morning at our branch at 105 New Park Street, Blackburn. This is located at the bottom of Preston New Road, between Corporation Park and Sudell Cross.
This is an ideal opportunity to see if the work of the Samaritans will be suitable to those who wish to become more involved with this well-known charity.
JOHN KILLIP, Publicity Officer, The Samaritans, Blackburn.
