RUSH-HOUR traffic was brought to a standstill following a minor road accident on Thursday (March 8).
One motorist had to be cut free from his car and taken to North Manchester General Hospital for treatment. A second driver also required hospital treatment. None of the injuries were thought to be life-threatening.
The accident happened shortly after 7am when a black Jaguar was in collision with a Nissan Bluebird at Middleton Road's junction with Victoria Avenue, High Blackley.
Middleton Road was reduced to one lane for around an hour as the emergency services dealt with the accident.
