Leigh Harriers 21 Haresfinch 8
FINCH'S good form of late was just a distant memory as they crashed to this first-ever defeat at the hands of Leigh Harriers.
After a fairly even first half, Harriers led 12-8 at the break, the visitors' points coming from two goals and a try by Anthony Seabrook, after good work by stand-off John Jackson.
The second half though belonged to the home team as they added a further 13 points wihtout reply.
The Franco's Wholesale Ltd. man of the match for Finch was second-row Gareth Brown, the Fran's news player award went to veteran prop Karl Farrall, while full-back Dave Penny gave his customary whole-hearted display.
