TWO Bury-based radio engineers are certainly on the right wavelength when it comes to loyal service.
And the duo have received awards in recognition of their 20 years' service with the town's Pennine Telecom.
Anil Taylor (45) is a senior systems engineer and says he loves his job. He also likes getting about and is a keen walker as well as a keep fit finatic.
"I have seen some dramatic changes since I joined the company from a Government training scheme," he said.
"When I started, we dealt with valves and copper wire. Now it's all solid state. Everything was analogue back then Now it's digital."
Colleague Keith Seddon (52) originally joined Pennine from Rediffusion, where he repaired televisions. When he first started, he, too, dealt with valves and copper wire.
Married with two children, Keith is a keen photographer. And that hobby, too, has moved with the times.
He used to develop his own pictures. But now he has a digital camera and produces pictures through his computer.
Pennine Telecom managing director Ian Macpherson presented both employees with a certificate and holiday vouchers to mark their 20 years.
He said: "It is particularly pleasing for me to congratulate my loyal staff.
"Not only do they represent the cornerstones of our success, they also remember the days when I had a tool box!"
