SCOTLAND boss Craig Brown was the guest speaker when Bury FC held their Save Our Shakers fund-raising dinner at Old Trafford's Manchester Suite on Monday evening.
The Bury Times-sponsored event is expected to raise more than £20,000 for the club and attracted a massive 670 people.
As well as Brown there was comedy from Scouse funnyman Sean Styles and the night was hosted by GMR's Jimmy Wagg and Neville Neville.
Included was a grand raffle and soccer memorabilia auction.
A pair of David Beckham's autographed boots raised £1,500, while a new-look England shirt belonging to Phil Neville and worn in the recent international against Spain was autographed by national boss Sven Goran Eriksson and went for £1,300.
