BURY FC chairman Terry Robinson has slammed a minority of Shakers fans who are costing the club money.
After some so-called supporters damaged the toilets at Millwall's New Den ground earlier in the seaon Lions fans did the same at Gigg Lane in what is obviously a tit-for-tat reprisal.
The incident at Millwall was highlighted on a BBC TV programme and the damage done at Gigg this week is expected to cost the club more than £1,000.
"It's absolutely irresponsible," Mr Robinson told the Bury Times.
"We are all busy trying to raise money and just can't afford to be paying out unnecessary costs like this.
"Somebody in the South Stand even threw an egg at the referee on Tuesday night so that will be reported and we could end up paying a fine.
"I know it is only a small number who are to blame but they are doing a lot of damage to the club."
