POLICE are hunting a man who robbed a bus driver at knife-point.
The victim, who does not want to be named, was driving the number 346 bus along Bolton Road, Darwen, at about 11pm on Wednesday, when he stopped the bus to let a male passenger on board. The offender then produced a knife and demanded the driver hand over the money. A quantity of cash was taken and the offender was seen running off up Blackburn Road towards the cemetery.
The offender is described as 20, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and a slim face. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue waist-length hooded jacket and blue trousers.
Detective sergeant Ian Critchley of Darwen CID, said: "Obviously this is being treated as a serious offence because a weapon has been used and we want to catch the person responsible as quickly as possible.
"We are seeking information from anyone who was in the area or who has been passed information to them by an offender taking about the incident."
