A HINDLEY mother pulled unconscious from her blazing home after a 999 operator traced an emergency call to her mobile phone is back home.
Deborah Smith, 26, a mum of two, was in intensive care at Wigan Infirmary after a blaze started in her living room two weeks ago. But after treatment for severe carbon monoxide poisoning, she made a recovery and was reunited with her children, Ben, five, and Amy three, at home this week. They were not in the house at the time of the fire. Deborah left a lit cigarette in an ashtray on the sofa of the front room of her Lincoln Road home. She woke in her bedroom by the sound of the fire and threw her television through the window and shouted for help. Although she only managed to croak out the word "fire" on her phone before passing out, the operator traced her address. Deborah thanked her rescuers.
