HERE is Blackburn Labour MP Jack Straw's son William, joining forces with Liberal Democrat spokesman Evan Harris.
He is protesting over the imposition of tuition fees and the abolition of student grants imposed by the government his father is a senior member of.
The New College, Oxford, student was a steward during a day of action on the issue in the city.
And Doctor Harris, MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, was delighted to join him in making a point to the government.
Mr Harris said: "I was supporting a protest by students. I was the only politician there.
"William has been consistent about opposing government policy on tuition fees and the student grant.
"He has attended many protests and chaired a meeting on the issue which I have attended. I was delighted to join him on this day of action."
Home Secretary Mr Straw said: "Young people have their own views. Students often protest against the government of the day. I should know as I was once the president of their national union."
