TEENAGERS are preparing a light-hearted musical about young love in the carefree world of 1920s Nice.
The Buddies, Accrington Theatre Group's youth section, have had help from former Tiller Girl Hazel Maxfield, who has been coaching them in the dances of the flapper era.
Alex Duxbury plays Polly, a finishing school pupil who is not allowed a boyfriend.
She falls in love with a man she believes to be a delivery boy, played by Craig Hopkinson while her friends also succumb to the charms of the local boys.
The show is most famous for the film starring Twiggy, and includes well known songs such as It's never too late to fall in love, I could be happy with you and Riviera.
The show runs at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre from Wednesday, March 21, to Saturday, March 24, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £4.50 to £6 and are on sale at Accrington Town Hall, or by calling 01254 884765.
