MOTORISTS will be caught on new cameras to be installed on a major road junction in Leigh.
Cameras are to be put up to capture on film motorists who jump red lights at the East Lancashire Road junction with Atherleigh Way.
The work will cost £10,000.
It is part of a major makeover announced this week by the highways agency for the East Lancashire Road and the M6.
A package of £4.6million improvements will be spent on bridge maintenance, replacing parts of the Lodge Lane viaduct, new safety fencing, drainage and carriageway repairs.
In total, the highways agency plans to spend £38.6million on schemes for major roads in the Lancashire and Merseyside areas during the next 12 months.
