A WOMAN was subjected to what is believed to be a racist attack on her house on Monday night.
The shed and wheelie bin at a house in Anyon Street, Darwen, were set on fire.
And when the occupant, a white woman in her mid-20s came out, she found racist graffiti written on her door.
A spokesman for Darwen Fire Brigade said: "The graffiti was not something I would want to have on my house.
"The woman was very upset."
They also confirmed the fires had been started deliberately at about 10.30pm.
The shed and bin were just feet away from the house and there was a real chance of the fire spreading to it.
The graffiti was washed off by the fire service at the scene and the occupant has since left the house.
