A SCHOOLBOY escaped with minor injuries when he was in collision with a car outside Bury Grammar School on Friday afternoon (March 9).
Eight-year-old Amit Khimji suffered bruising to his hip in the accident at the junction of Bridge Street and Tenterden Street, Bury, at 3.35pm.
Amit, from Ladybridge in Bolton, was taken to Bury General Hospital where he received treatment to his injuries. He was allowed to return home soon after.
The accident involved a Citroen Saxo car being driven by Mr John Halpin (19) of Regent Street, Bury.
