NEVER mind the voters, a local dog has made its political convictions painfully clear to Tory hopeful Nicola Le Page!
The hound bit the prospective Parliamentary candidate for Bury South on the ankle while she was campaigning on Saturday (March 10).
Mrs Le Page was left with a large bruise on her leg, but the shock seems to have affected her recollection of the event.
"At first I thought it was a boxer, but on reflection I think it was more likely a pit bull," she said. "The description that I gave to my husband leads him to believe that it may not have been a dog at all, but rather a tiger or other wild cat!"
The incident occurred while Mrs Le Page was delivering her party's "Common Sense" newspapers in Prestwich.
