THE fascinating fruits of a homegrown literary talent have returned to their roots.
Mr Adrian Boote (40), who grew up in Kingston Road, Radcliffe, but who now lives in Rutland, has dedicated his latest book to the school where he spent his childhood.
Mr Boote's father, Bill, presented The Strawberry Sorcerer to Radcliffe Hall CE Methodist School on Tuesday (March 13).
He said: "Adrian has given two of his books to the school previously, but this is the first one that is actually dedicated to it."
Mr Boote began writing children's stories when he went on paternity leave three years ago.
"I don't know whether he wants to go back to the Civil Service," said his proud father, who lives on Bealey Close. "I think he'd like to concentrate on the writing full time.
"He's already started on his fourth book and Carlton TV are turning one of his stories into a play."
