LEIGH Miners Rangers youngsters chalked up their third successive victory with a 30-22 away success at much-fancied Portico.
Rangers drew first blood when Andy Thomasson burst through at pace to score a good try. Pemberton added the goal. Jack Kenny scored the first of his hat-trick after good work by Elliott, Sarsfield and Myers. Sarsfield added the extras.
Portico pulled six points back but straight after half time Kenny went through for his second try and Sutton's goal made it 18-6. Two converted tries by Portico levelled the scores at 18-18 but Kenny's hat-trick try again put Rangers ahead.
With minutes remaining a fine individual try closed the gap to just two points but right on the whistle Myers powered over to make the game safe.
