LEIGH Under 7s won their hard-fought derby match with Tyldesley by 30-10.

Tries came from James Wilkinson 2, James Hatton 2, Josh Gannon and Peter Readwin. Man of the match was Thomas Lloyd for his outstanding defence with other good efforts from Charlotte Rance and Matthew Wilkinson.

The Under 7s also collected a good win, by 30-15, against Sedgley Park. Tries came from Oliver Farley, James Wilkinson 2, Sam Peet 2 and Adam Tustin. Man of the match was James Hatton with good efforts from Alex Quinn and Marcus Hunt.

At Under 11s level, Tyldesley played host to Leigh and Sedgley Park. Leigh drew 7-7 with Tyldesley and were beaten 14-7 by Sedgley Park. Jordan Davies touched down against Tyldesley with Christopher Boyle scoring against Sedgley. Davies earned the overall man of the match award.

The Under 12s turned in a magnificent team effort to beat Sedgley Park 7-5. Forshaw crossed in the corner for a fine try after a flowing movement and Pendlebury converted. Sedgley's response came five seconds from time.
