A TAXI driver accused of a sex attack on a woman passenger has appeared for the first time before magistrates in Bury.
Afzal Hussain, 31, from South Cross Street, Bury, is charged with the indecent assault of a 37-year-old Prestwich woman. The attack is alleged to have happened in a taxi cab during the early hours of March 11.
The case was adjourned until April 10 when Hussain will appear before Bolton Crown Court under the new speeded up early hearing procedures. Bail was granted.
