Faure and Boro team-mate Ashley Lyth spent a week at Brockhall training with both the Academy and Graeme Souness's first team squad.

And the club are keen to take another look at the 18-year-old before the end of the season after he slotted in well.

Rovers have decided not to pursue their interest in 17-year-old Lyth, however, despite the fact he is currently being tracked by a number of other clubs.

Watch this space for further news on Faure. Duff chase WEDNESDAY night's trip to Birmingham will live long in the memory of all Rovers fans after Graeme Souness's men gave Trevor Francis's Blues a footballing lesson.

But, for one man in particular, it turned out to be the trip from Hell.

One of my Press colleagues from Southern Ireland had flown over especially for the game in the hope of an interview with Damien Duff.

So when the Rovers winger scored his wonder goal shortly after the break it was like manna from heaven.

However, his efforts in tracking down the 21-year-old after the game then suddenly went pear-shaped in spectacular style.

Birmingham's press officer had promised to collar the Republic of Ireland winger for the post-match press conference.

But, when he didn't show up, my journalist friend decided to take things into his own hands -- which meant a long trek around to the other side of the ground.

Sadly, he took a wrong turn as he left the directors entrance which meant a half mile detour around a neighbouring housing estate before he got to the other side.

And when he finally arrived -- soaked in sweat -- it was just in time to see the Rovers' team-coach driving off into the distance!

But every story has a happy ending -- at least he got an all-expenses paid two-day trip to England out of it even if he did return empty-handed.

He's now considering trying to catch up with him again in Dubai next week! GOOD to see the Orphanage Cup final is making a welcome return to Ewood at the end of the season.
