SEVERE winter weather may have hampered his plans but East Lancashire artist Paul Hartley is back to the wall.
The 26-year-old from Colne has been commissioned by Groundwork to brighten up a stretch of Great Harwood approaching the town.
Armed with ideas designed by local youngsters from both St Hubert's Primary School and Norden County High School, Paul set to work on the wall at the end of last summer after Lancashire County Council had helped to prepare it.
When the rain and frost set in Paul had to put his paintbrushes aside.
Although this week he took up the challenge again and hopes to finish by Easter.
Sandra Silk, of Groundwork, said: "We wanted to brighten up the approach to Great Harwood.
"This would create a better impression of the town."
