A GROUP of music students from Leigh are pumping up the volume for Comic Relief.
The students on a GNVQ courses at Wigan and Leigh College are performing a gig at Leigh Rugby Club next Thursday.
The students say they will present music that will appeal to everyone from grandads to young rockers with four different bands belting out everything from acoustic and mellow music to heavy rock.
All the profits made from the concert, which starts at 8.30pm, will go towards the Comic Relief funds.
The young people will include cover versions of previous songs and many of their own music.
The gig will also feature five soloists, who have also got together fellow students as backing musicians.
Tickets are limited and cost £2 on the door or a flyer can be picked up at Leigh College's Railway Road building which will allow concert-goers a reduced entrance fee of £1.50.
