THE foot and mouth tragedy is showing no signs of subsiding and country walks are still out of the question -- or supposed to be.
However, informers tell me people with no consideration are ignoring footpath exclusions and continuing to exercise their dogs.
How sad can people be?
Concerned people in Leigh's Rosebury Avenue have reported people using the embankment nearby to walk their pets and children riding bikes there.
They should be made aware once again that anyone caught ignoring the foot and mouth notices can be heavily fined -- upto £5,000. And they should be.
