WHY is it that speeders copped on camera get an automatic £60 speeding ticket, yet England soccer player Rio Ferdinand, convicted of his third driving offence, and his second speeding offence in a year, this week received only a £40 fine after being nabbed doing 95mph on the A1?
A friend was delivering newspapers at 3am recently, on a straight main road with no one about, and was trapped by a camera which registered his speed at 45mph.
He received a standard ticket for £60.
How fair is that?
Makes you wonder if it's worth going to court instead of just accepting it and coughing up without saying a dickybird.
