CAN readers put local history enthusiast Barbara Riding back in the picture after her efforts to record the demise of a Blackburn building that played a large part in the lives of thousands went awry?
Barbara already has an old photograph of the the original building that stood at 103 Preston New Road.
It was built for Dr James Barlow who practised in the town from 1797 to 1839, but remembered by generations of pupils as the -- later extended -- home of Blackburn High Schools for Girls from 1883 to 1961.
She also has one of it reduced to a heap of rubble in its recent demolition that stemmed from it falling foul of a monster repair bill.
But, alas, when she took a picture of the old house without its roof, something went wrong with her camera and the shot did not come out.
But did anyone else take a picture of the building at this stage of its demolition, Barbara wonders -- so that she might obtain a copy?
Call her on 01254-54303 if you can help.
